I wake up to roaring wind and rain and finally emerge at about 9am thinking that I need to email Sally Camps again about the Prebendal Walls Walk tour in the afternoon. Phew she agrees that we need to cancel and sends a quick message around. Phew on two counts really – firstly the weather is horrendous and secondly I just can’t face being bombarded with questions about Tom. It is likely that only Elis and Colin know he’s even away, but then everyone will cotton on asking me the same things over and over again. It’s not that I don’t want to talk about him – in fact with some friends I don’t stop – but I just don’t want to explain it yet again to this group of friends who I’m not really sure are friends. Soooo happy days – I’m let off the hook.

My Sally comes over for coffee at ten and she helps me move a few bits around in the house so that there is at least some semblance of order.. The stove is lit nice and early and I decide to read. It’s just so hard to concentrate on anything.
