Oh how I would have loved a lie in! But id realised I’d left my gloves and glasses on board Jalapeño, so Rog and I set off early to get down to Itchenor before Dhara left the boat and I had to hurry to be back in town ready for a booked art and architecture appreciation group tour. It was a lovely sunny day – nothing like the grey rough day before.
The tour went really well and I seemed to have renewed enthusiasm despite being tired. The group loved it. Home to start my long list of jobs to be done. How is it that Tom has gone away and two weeks later nothing needs to be caught up with and done – whereas I go away for four days and it takes me days to catch up. Oh well I suppose it is nice to be needed..
I now need to spend a little time each day learning the marks on the Admiralty Charts
Lovely long FT with TT – he seems sad and disenchanted with it all. I hope this is just teething problems and that they will all settle down together very soon at the start of the next race.
