Early start again. Up at 6.30 as I wasn’t really sure what time Guest Simon wanted a lift to the Revival. I had planned to take him down with Kingsley. But in the end he decided to walk through the Valdoe. Kingsley chirupped happily beside me – so pleased to be going to the festival – all dressed up in boater and stripey jacket, he looked every bit the part.

Fiona and I had a slow breakfast, chatted with Lynda about booking a restaurant for the evening. Phew I managed to squeeze them into the Fox and Hounds at Funtington. I joined West Dean Gardens as a Friend and have great plans to go regularly. It was the best choice – Fiona loved it and it wasn’t particularly busy. Coffee and a sandwich lunch turned out well – Rogie loved it too though may have been a bit hot for him..

We relaxed in the garden before I went to pick up Kingsley and they headed home about 7ish. Dropped my guests for dinner, commenting that if there were no taxis that they could always call me! hmmm two hours later they rang to say that the first taxi was at 2am!

Another late night saying goodbye to TT – this game is very hard and emotions are running very high. Luckily I didn’t need to serve breakfast until 8.30am.
