I am very aware that today my guests leave and with F and K back at home, later on it’s the start of a long stretch of ownsomeness. That’s fine I have loads to get on with. First things first, I needed to make breakfast for my guests and I realise that I don’t really have much of interest. With breakfast to be served at 8.30, I get up hoping for inspiration! Yes great, scotch pancakes with Greek yog, honey, chopped roasted hazelnuts and blueberries. They went down a treat, though perhaps not quotes as light and fluffy as I would have liked. As I didn’t have anyone else coming to stay I said that Lynda and Simon could stay on as long as they wanted and I’d take them to the station later. That worked well as I was doing a tour of the City in the morning – just two turned up – Carla who I knew was coming to prepare for an Italian group in October and a very pregnant young woman from South Africa with her little girl in tow.
By the time I got home, Lynda and Simon were keen to get to the station to start their journey back to NZ, so I just dropped them at the station and returned home to a very silent house. Hmm yes I know I said I had so many jobs to do……
