What a lovely way to wake up! Naomi brought me a cup of tea in bed! What a treat! She is such a sweet girl. I do hope she likes me just a little bit as much as I love her. Then a lazyish morning until I had to get to the Kennels at 11am and Franki and Naomi had to start cooking for Granny’s birthday party in the afternoon.
It was a late summer sunnny warm day, just right for the Hope Charity pre-rally get together. There were cars from each decade from the 40s onwards. Having chatted to Marina, the organiser about what it’s all about, I have tentatively said we may be able to lend our car for the day.

Rain was on the cards for Sunday and the whole week following, so as F and N were still out, I continued tackling the poor neglected garden. I was so happy to have cleared all the dead ox eye daisies etc from the verge as well as lots inside, before Franki got back. I was surprised that he came alone – Naomi had decided to go back with a couple of her cousins. It was almost 2am before we got to bed! Lots of fun reminiscing and choosing music for his birthday party.
