The day dawned grey and squally and me barfing into a bucket in the galley! Up on deck asap and I soon started to feel better. I should have taken one of the Stugerons, but thought I was over it! Astrid was fine as I’d given her one of mine..

The day was long and tiring. We spent most of it, in between taking turns on the helm, scanning the horizon for ships and fishing buoys. We were crossing two shipping channels and needed to take extra care.

Spotting dolphins we were entertained with a pretty display of them diving under the boat and popping up to see us on the other side.

The arrival into Chichester Harbour in the dark was really fun, watching for flashing lights on the marker buoys and wending our way through the entrance. We arrived on Itchenor Pontoon at 21.12 in torrential rain. After gathering my bits hurredly – the others were spending the night on the boat – I called a taxi and went to join them up in the Ship until it arrived. I was shocked how much the taxi cost -£25 – I suppose it was the equivalent of two journeys from Chi.

I was so excited to speak to TT as he’d arrived in Portimao earlier in the day and I’d missed his calls. So a late night and then a deep sleep in a comfy bed!
