Another one of those Tuesdays when everything is happening. Yoga at 9.30 is a must now – and it is certainly starting to help. I’m doing a little bit before bed each night – perhaps this is also helping me to feel a bit calmer.

Caro is due to come round at 11am, but as I have to take Rogie to the hairdresser – “Lesley’s Loungeabout” as I’m sure Rog calls it – he spends his downtime after the stress of the cut stretched out in front of her Aga! Anyway I take everyone – humans and doggies to the W and D for coffee and then we go on to East Dean to drop Rog off for his appointment. Then off to the Cathedral for roving duty at 1.30pm. There’s a temporary exhibition ‘Safe Spaces’ in conjunction with Pallant House’ in-house artists on show in the North Transept. Artist, Anne Neville has created some really inspirational pieces based on the idea of seed pods as a safe haven for a plant’s offspring. Such clever papier mache pieces. I wish I was as imaginative as that! I suppose that’s what makes her an artist and me just an admiring observer!

The same goes for my evening at CFT to see Macbeth – I’m an admiring observer! It was a great production with John Simm and Dervla Kirwan. But perhaps a little muddled at times – as some of the actors appeared to be dressed as SS officers and young female actors were playing male parts. I just don’t really see the point of that, unless to redress the balance – bearing in mind Shakespeare used young male actors to play female parts!
