Primroses

We all look forward to seeing the first proper truly wild primroses emerging into bloom amongst the woody detritus of the winter time. The ones close to here – around the Goodwood Estate are quite pale. They smell quite sweet – a little bit like violets and attract both bees and butterflies. Certainly not today though as it is wild, windy and pretty wet.
