It seems to be swarm time! I noticed the bees circling the garden earlier in the day, but then as evening came I saw what they had been up to….. A large gathering was hanging off the underside of one of our fences. The knight in shining white beesuit arrived within a few minutes of my call! They were ‘encouraged’ to huddle together in a cardboard box and later that night they were whisked away. Maybe they’ll return if I have another hive…..
Meanwhile ‘my bees’ are continuing to thrive and make lots of honey!
