Black Medick

The little pom-pom head of this wayside and grassland flower is so tiny – but somehow can be seen clearly in small sprawling mass on the sides of paths. It is sometimes called ‘hop clover‘ or ‘nonesuch‘. It has three small rounded leaves – so clearly a member of the clover family
