Competitive Fencing!

I know I’ve already displayed a picture of traditional fencing, but it’s starting to get a bit competitive…. So is this fencing at West Dean better than that near to Drovers? It is certainly more mature…

Here is a close up of the sticks used – they start off ‘winkable’ – to use an expression of my dear mama – so they can be bent around the uprights which have been driven firmly into the ground.
