This lovely flower is one of the bedstraw family and so smells divine! – rather like honey. I saw it on the way to Kingley Vale to photo the yew trees. There was a large expanse of these sweet smelling bright yellow flowers. It is called Crosswort because of the way four leaves make a cross shape just where the tiny yellow flowers emerge. 

The wort part refers to its use to stimulate appetite and as a remedy for rheumatism.
