Time to experiment with nettles. We didn’t have to go very far…. They fill the gap between the two surrounding fences and as they didn’t look tough or old we decided to make nettle pesto. To make a good comparison we made rocket pesto too from the salad leaves I am growing in the tyres!
The leaves have to be boiled before use to get rid of the sting…. Then simply whizzed up with olive oil, garlic and salt. It far surpassed the rocket sample!
