This little chap often goes by the name ‘Bird’s Eye Speedwell’. It can be so easily missed as the tiny flower lays low to the ground. It is so ubiquitous at this time of year, but also unassuming – it brings good luck to any traveller passing by! Speeding us on our way – the lucky thing is that we don’t need to be speeded on our these days – we do have time to ‘stop and stare’ as W H Davies exorts us to in his poem ‘Leisure’
