I’ve been confined to the FY for a week now and the time is just flying by! So I must procrastinate no longer – that flower bed is in dire need of roses!! That’s a bit of a strange sentiment – bearing in mind I’m trying to get the garden back to the wild… In the last few years my Dad regularly bought me rose plants. He really loved them and perhaps subconsciously felt he was passing his legacy on. I love roses too but kept feeling that they really didn’t belong in my garden. So I put some of them into pots to flower in my courtyard. But despite what is said, roses aren’t particularly happy with their roots so confined. So I made the decision to extend an existing flowerbed. And Sunday was the day to get the mattock out, remove the turf and dig it all over.
