There’s hogweed all over the garden and verges at the moment. I have been trying to work out whether this is the giant kind or the regular… Apparently the giant version which can grow up to 5 metres tall, is very invasive and it is illegal to cause it to grow in the countryside. I am pretty sure ours is the regular one which can still grow up to 2 metres tall.
This is a picture of the seed head which was full of earwigs when I took the photo. It is almost more attractive than the pretyy whitey pink flower head.
