Loose Hedging on the Goodwood Estate

This is the second time in the past couple of weeks that I have noticed this style of rough hedging. Maybe I just haven’t been looking hard enough before. It is as though all the rough brushwood from coppiced and felled trees has been put to good use, by driving it all together to make a long pile almost impenetrable to all but the smallest animals. Very clever technique!
