Moving House….

The bees have settled in so well and seem to be thriving that they are now to have a permanent home here. I had been a bit bothered that the little ‘shed’ they were in was a bit flimsy and a fox or deer could easily knock it over. Now they are ensconced in a beautiful green and pink hive in amongst the wild flowers. They are making honey and there is a new brood waiting to hatch out – so the queen must be satisfied and content.

It is a great time of year to move here as the blossom and flowers are at their best. The double blossom hawthorn in the courtyard is constantly humming with bees…..
