Yippee, the stove is being fitted today! I’m slightly anxious as they are running a bit late and I also am booked to do a tour for the Duke’s PR agent over from California. But it all works out perfectly and I return home to find the chaps ready to christen the stove with its first match! It is a dream machine! and looks great too. I was a bit anxious that it may be too small, but they show me pics of installations they’ve done where the customer has gone too big and they look ghastly. So I’m happy!

I nip into town briefly to do jobs before Caro comes round for afternoon tea. I have no idea what else I do except waste hours and hours looking at the race tracker and try to work out the tactics. I also spend hours procrastinating about how I’m going to do this 500 word essay! I give myself a stern talking to, to get things in perspective – just write it and be done with it. But the whole evening is one long faff!
