I suppose I’ve seen this pretty little flower many times but somehow it just got absorbed into the general mix of pretty yellow flowers! I saw this walking in an area we call Switzerland – probably because it somehow seemed at one time rather alpine.
Yellow pimpernel is a cousin of the Scarlet version, but a little more unruly. It flowers right the way through from mid spring to late summer.
